Pool Time!

That pool gets bigger when you're the one having to blow it up! I think this is a good excuse to buy an air compressor!

Jack had a blast, as did his parents. We felt like we had a day at the beach: sunscreen, lots of paraphernalia, lots of preparation for a short time in the water, and that exhausted/sunbaked/great feeling you get when you've been out in the sun. For some reason, he loves to squirt himself with the water bottle. We had a heck of a time getting him to keep the hat on. We already have big plans for the future with this pool...

Forking

Recently, using a fork has become THE favorite thing. He tries to use the fork on everything, such as crackers, sometimes with more success than you'd think. Today, possibly because he was tired, the fork wasn't really used as intended. Was it because he forgot about it (fork as accessory) or was it because he was going to jab anyone who tired to get his mac and cheese? Then at the end he just says "the heck with this fork" and two-fists the rest of his meal.

Lily, sort of...

Here's some pictures of Lily, T minus a few days. Cindy took Lily out to church this morning and she looked so pretty we had to have some pictures.

A boy and his Dogs

Sometimes when we are cooking or cleaning in the kitchen we keep Jack out so that we can get something done. He usually only makes a mess, but there is occasional outright destruction. Often, he wades through the wagging tails and makes his way to the gate to talk to Mom and Dad. The dogs usually want in also, and this makes for some comical scenes as two black heads and one peeping baby crowd the gate. Note the blue dog. Are you seeing a pattern here?

Before Bed Routine

Every night just before bed we do some reading. He sits in Dad's lap and helps to turn the pages. Note the blue dog, barely visible over the top of the book.

The Sleeper

The man has a new habit. He likes to get up after we put him to bed. He plays happily in his room for a while, then collapses into sleep. Usually his favorite dog (the blue one) is right there with him.
