Dining Fun

So, I'm sitting at the table watching Lily have a defiant moment regarding her food. (We call it 'Refuse-a-lating'). I had flashbacks of sitting at the kitchen table growing up watching Carole Odom (nee Frank) have similar episodes. Really, the resemblance in form and function is striking! Just as I got back with my camera, I got one pic of her thrashing (1st pic above) and then she ate it! Then she liked it! Hey, Mikey!

Yet again, more Highchair

Slowly but surely he's learning to use utensils. It's a messy process, but usually fun for him. The dogs like it too.

Football

BDP teaching Jack the finer points of watching football. Lesson #1: Always plan the snacking very carefully.

Fun Whilst Eating

Big Daddy P loves watching Jack learn new things. Somehow it seems, well, mysterious or spiritual watching Jack go from a biological blob to a self-maintaining organism. Ok, BDP is probably a little loco. But that smile on Jack is cute!

The Pear Incident

One fine Saturday afternoon, Daddy sat down with Jack to feed him his first bite of pears. The pears did not get rave reviews. As a matter of fact, they got spit out. Shortly after this picture, Daddy thought he was going to have to do the Heimlich maneuver, but fortunately for all involved, the gag reflex is a wonderful thing.
