Jack's 4th Birthday

It's hard to describe - 25 kids and an equal number (or more) parents in our house. Add lots of sugar and wintertime pent up cabin fever-type wildness. Add in inflatable light sabers (Cindy's idea!) and what do you have? Yep, complete, 100% over the top pandemonium.

Christmas at home

Our third bout of Christmas presents this season. One begins to enjoy mass pandemonium.

Christmas in Marion Part II

If you ever need any pineapples, just ask Wilma, she grows them in the mountains of NC!

The kids loved the Angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Christmas in Marion, 2010

A good time was had by all, as usual. The kids loved to wrestle with Mark, and watching cookies bake was also a highlight.

Dun dun dun, DAAAAA, DAAAA, dundundun, DAAAAA, DAAAAA

As you can tell, Halloween this year was a Star Wars affair. Cindy saved some of her hair from her brush and made Jack a little 'rat tail' similar to Anakin's in the movie. (Jack and Lily still have no idea that Anakin turns into Darth Vader)! The kids and us were both completely worn out after partying with the entire neighborhood.

Previously, on this channel...

Jack and Lily had a big time playing on the tractors and throwing things in the creek this past fall in Marion, NC (Cindy's parents' house).

Christmas in Columbia

We had a ball. The kids went nuts. What else needs to be said?

Thanks Carole, Al, Lindsay, and Carlyn for being such great hosts!

Christmas Lights

Our house this Christmas season. (It's not really that bright, I just used a really long exposure since I was taking the picture at night). Cindy has big plans for new lights next year...

Train Video

From the NHVR (see below). The train goes about 20 minutes outbound, then it unhooks, bypasses the coaches, and hooks back on the other end to pull us back to the station. This is what it looks like.

More Trains!

We went back to the New Hope Valley Railroad for their Christmas Train again this year. Again, loads of fun! Jack and Lily had a ball, in spite of the cold. Jack and Lily were both a little hesitant about Santa, but really just a little bit. They quickly warmed up and shouted their toy requests!

We went with a big gang from our neighborhood, and Lily had a blast hanging out with her very favorite person in the world, Josh from next door. He's in the blue track suit.
